Susan Rochwerger
Although Susan Rochwerger excels at still-life and scenes of nature, she is a master of the portrait. There’s a quiet serenity to her paintings, which skillfully capture a moment in time, for all time. Her depictions of the human face possess a conscience. The characters revealed almost leap from the pages. Susan works in oil on canvas as well and creates quiet beauty in defiance of the trials of day-to-day life. She seeks her bliss and shares it with the world..Rochwerger studied abroad under the tutelage of such contemporary talent as David Catori, Ben Trit and Eldar Farber . Her work is influenced by Aram Gershuni, yet she creates her own realm of mastery. Although Susan travels extensively to feed her creative spirit she is available for commissioned work.
